I don't understand who is going to pay a significant up charge for extra leg room middle seats.

I don't see why 2 or 3 legroom+ rows reduce pitch in the rest of the cabin if "thinner seats create more room" overall. Hope Leff did the math and just failed to supply numbers. Conjecture false in one dimension is necessarily false in all higher dimensions.

This will reduce pre-boarding abuse.

I doubt many people pay extra for middle seats in Delta Comfort+. Status gets it for free.

Glad someone else said it. Plus very sensationalized topics. If it happened once in the world on some idiot's social media then its happening everyday everywhere according to him. Didn't bother to click the link.

Sounds fishy to me. Anything other than their "sit anywhere" policy breaks a key component of their fast turnaround model. It would slow boarding and add seat policing to FA duties.

Are there fast turnarounds anywhere on WN these days? Serious question (not saying it makes the blog post more plausible).

SWA, like other businesses look at all kinds of changes, upgrades, pricing scenarios, etc.

And, most ideas never get past the discovery phase.

Will they do this? Possible, but it will take some major changes in their systems.

either way, nothing soon
